End of my WC

I have nothing to say about Germany vs Spain match. Maybe frustrated, I dunno, maybe because it's semi final, I expected a little bit more from both teams. Or at least like Paraguay and Holland match.
I just took this 1 article on the net which I found pretty much what I had in mind about the way Spain played.

"The second semi-final saw Spain overcome Germany, but with a goal that bore little resemblance to the rest of their play.

With their trademark short passing not doing the job, they bunged a corner into the box for Carles Puyol to smash into the net with a flying sphere of cranium and curls.

By Spain's beautiful standards, it was a goal only a mother could love. But their ability to execute a Plan B got them to the World Cup final.

Spain tread a fine line between intricate and overdone, complex and frustrating, fascinating and boring.

The football purists claim to love it, and I don't doubt their sincerity. But when invited to admire 600 sideways passes between Xavi, Xabi Alonso and Andres Iniesta, I feel a bit like and interloper at a wine tasting evening. I know the '82 Chateauneuf-du-Pape is wine, and good wine at that, but I don't quite get what makes it so special.

I'd rather have a kick-and-rush 4-3 than a well-played 1-0. Steak and chips rather than beluga caviar.

Possession-hogging Spain go a goal ahead, then refuse to to let their opponents have a kick. It is a devastating form of defense, based on the reality that if the other team don't have the ball, they are unlikely to do anything with it.

Where Germany had run riot against teams that allowed them the space to break at pace, Spain never gave them that. They dominated possession, passed the ball well and had the patience to wait for their chance. Bingo, a third straight 1-0 win in the knockout stages."

As for Arsenal news, they signed a defender yesterday. Laurent Koscielny. and he'll be wearing No.6. I never really heard of him before.

So, World Cup final, I'd rather have Holland to win actually.Quote from the Arseblog:

"Firstly because I want a jubilant van Persie back at Arsenal and maybe, just maybe, Spain losing will show Cesc that even great teams don't win all the time. Or something. I dunno."

So that's that. I'm gonna continue doing my maths. The midterm happen to be on the July 12 itself. Great.
Hope I'll be able to write anything other than football after this. Wish me luck!
